Functional Movement Screen - The Functional Movement Screen (FMS) is the product of an exercise philosophy known as Functional Movement. FMS is comprised of seven movement tests that help identify potential weaknesses, imbalances, asymmetries and limitations. If during the screening certain movement patterns are recognized, corrective exercises become a part of the training curriculum. FMS is a thorough but simple method to help pinpoint any primary dysfunctions that might minimize performance. Is your whole body functioning properly? GET YOUR FUNCTIONAL MOVEMENT SCREEN TODAY.
Strength Training / Muscle Toning – Is simply the restoration of muscle and the simultaneous decrease of fat. After the age of 25, the average individual gains one pound of body weight and loses one third to one half pound of muscle. Adversely this also drastically effects our bodies metabolic efficiency. Exercise and good nutrition can reverse this process. Physiologically, the benefits of strength training include an increase in muscle size and tone, increased muscular strength, and increases in tendon, bone, and ligament strength. The positive effects do not stop there. Strength training has shown to significantly improve psychological health as well, by increasing self-esteem, confidence and self-worth.
Core Development – The foundation of all athletic movements is incorporated in the abdominal or core muscles. Training to increase strength alone is not enough. To truly reap the full benefits the core muscles must be trained.
Weight training - Increases the metabolic rate while restoring the muscle tissue that had been lost over the years from a sedentary modern lifestyle, thus improving the aesthetics of the body by accentuating its curves and shape.
Nutrition – The importance of good nutrition is the most important aspect of a good training program. For those looking to improve the quality of their life and achieve their fitness goals, training alone will not suffice; a well balanced diet must be incorporated.
